If this sounds like you

The Words We HearAlmost Every Week.

  • 01

I've been told to just live with it.

Pain that gets managed instead of explained is pain that never really leaves.

  • 02

The numbness in my hands and feet is getting worse.

Tingling and burning are signals, not inevitabilities. They deserve a workup.

  • 03

I've seen three specialists and still have no plan.

Three opinions is not a strategy. You should leave knowing exactly what happens next.

  • 04

I want relief without surgery or more medication.

Conservative care first, with clear markers for when something more is warranted.

You don't need another opinion. You need someone who looks at the whole system.

Clear expectations, a defined timeline, and measurable progress.

What we do

Seven Disciplines.One Coordinated Plan.

Intended shot: nerve-focused foot evaluation in warm natural light.

A specialty focus

If Your Hands or Feet Are Numb, Tingling, or Burning —Read This.

Peripheral neuropathy is one of the most commonly dismissed conditions we see. Patients are told it's age, or diabetes, or that there's simply nothing to be done — and they live with burning feet for years. In our experience it often responds to a combined approach: nerve-focused care to reduce compression and irritation, red light therapy to support circulation and cellular repair, and metabolic support for the blood sugar and inflammation underneath it all.

  • Numbness or a "walking on cotton" feeling in the feet
  • Burning or electric pain that's worse at night
  • Tingling in the hands, or dropping things more often
  • Balance that's become unsteady, especially in the dark

Meet Dr. Garlan

Twenty Years ofListening First.

Dr. J. Leah Garlan, DC is a chiropractor who combines multiple adjusting techniques with complementary therapies for both acute injuries and long-standing chronic conditions — choosing the approach the case actually calls for, and explaining why she chose it. Her practice centers on families: pregnancy and prenatal care, pediatric visits, personal injury and auto accident cases, and the chronic pain patients who arrive after everyone else has run out of ideas.

What patients notice first is the pace of the first appointment. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is assumed.

Questions patients ask

Straight Answers,Before You Book.

Your first visit runs 45–60 minutes. We take a full history — including what you've already tried and what nobody has asked you yet — then perform a hands-on orthopedic and neurological evaluation. If treatment is appropriate that day, we'll do it; otherwise you leave with findings and a clear next step.

We accept many major plans and will verify your chiropractic benefits, deductible and visit limits before you begin. If your plan doesn't cover a service, we'll tell you the cash cost up front. No surprise billing.

Yes. Pennsylvania auto policies include medical benefits that pay for care regardless of who was at fault, so treatment after a collision is typically covered without touching your health insurance. We document findings thoroughly and coordinate with attorneys when a case requires it.

Both are a regular part of this practice. Prenatal care uses pregnancy-specific positioning and gentle techniques focused on pelvic and low-back mechanics. Pediatric adjustments use a small fraction of adult force — often no more pressure than you'd use to test a ripe tomato.

It's a systems-based approach that asks why a problem exists rather than only naming it. We use history and targeted lab work to look at inflammation, blood sugar, thyroid, nutrient status and digestion, then address the drivers with nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle change alongside your other care.

Very fine needles are placed at specific points to modulate nerve signaling, increase local blood flow and shift the body out of a guarded, high-pain state. Most patients feel a dull warmth rather than pain, and many are relaxed enough to fall asleep during treatment.

Red and near-infrared light — photobiomodulation — is absorbed by the mitochondria in your cells, supporting energy production, circulation and tissue repair. We use it most often for peripheral neuropathy, stubborn soft-tissue injuries and post-injury recovery. Sessions are painless and take only minutes.

Acute problems often shift noticeably within 1–3 visits. Chronic conditions that have been building for years usually take 4–6 weeks of consistent care to show durable change. We set re-evaluation points so progress is measured, not assumed.

You've Waited Long Enough for a Real Answer.
